We made it!

Sorry no pic or vids to display on this post...but here is a quick update on our new lives.

As you know, we took off on Sunday. We flew from LAX to Amsterdam to Saudi Arabia on business class with a relatively easy flight. Of course it wasn't all smooth. Things went rough 2/3's of the way into the trip -The baby got a terrible rash, became inconsolable -Then the cat melted and wouldn't let us drug her any more with tranquilizers.

Somehow, right before a nervous breakdown, we landed in Dammam International Airport. It was easy getting through customs and people were waiting for us on the other side. They drove us to our house and it was fully stocked with essentials. They also gave us a car for two weeks.

We are slowly getting settled; the people here are very helpful, continually asking us "what do you need?" or "what can we get you?"

I started my first day of work today and I already can sense this is a far cry from public education -Very low key and not like the savage nature of an opening day school year where all the teachers are scrambling for resources.

Also, we've been going to the beach. The water is 90 degrees and the air has been hotter than they printed on the Relocation Guide. Luckily, the air conditioning cranks around here.

Well, that is all for now. We will post some video of the area and our place soon.

Best,
