We've been struggling with intermittent bouts of insanity because of the workload we've imposed on ourselves: Master's program, raising a child and full-time job. Out of the three, we love each one except for the Master's. Regardless, it will payoff with a nice raise.
Again, sorry for the delay in postings. Spending so much time on the computer for work and school makes it difficult to keep the blog alive. We will do our best to post -Thanks for all the comments -They help inspire.
Update on our lives:
- Well, for starters, we've decided this country and the compound are not the best fit for us. The money and lifestyle are nice, but the oppression and ex-pat culture here is too conservative (think Texas) for our blood. There are not enough young folks here either. The two Aussies we like are moving to Bahrain because they feel the same way as we do.
- Claudia babbles often these days. She is on the verge of structuring sentences any day now.
- We take off to Thailand soon for a vacation.
- Reina started teaching in January.
- Our cat, Yuki, is getting fatter than we could have imagined.
- Morocco was incredible in terms of culture and food; but the surf was mediocre. See pics.

The only insanity was the surf in Morocco. Really. Too bad Eric just couldn't hack it, sat it out on the beach, flying a pretty kite, dreaming dromedary dreams, and searching for an affordable, drinkable beer or wine. Too bad he wasn't quick enough to drink any of 'em. Thank god he had his attorney, who working only for beer, was able to persuade the law to let him go from an average of 1 traffic stop per 2 days.
